The connection is deeply personal. Tord’s grandfather, Trygve Eiken (79) has been an important advisor to Breeze throughout years and was the very first employee at Vik-Sandvik – a design office that created the foundation of the 4,000-vessel archive we manage today. While Tord is currently a student at an agricultural college, his time with us has been an opportunity to explore the footsteps of his grandfather and see how those original hand-drawn designs have evolved into advanced 3D models.
At Breeze, we believe that the future of shipping depends on inspiring young minds. Whether Tord eventually trades the tractor for the drawing board remains to be seen, but having him here reminds us all that our archive and our seniors area a living legacy that continues to spark curiosity in new generations.
We wish Tord the best of luck with his further studies, and who knows? Perhaps one day he will return to help us engineer the next chapter of maritime history.
