Breeze Ship Design er et uavhengig skipsdesignselskap med ca. 60 ansatte på våre kontorer på Stord, i Sandvika og i Varna i Bulgaria. Selskapet jobber med innovative og bærekraftige skipsdesignløsninger fra konsept til gjennomføring.

For å sikre videre vekst og gjennomføringsevne søker selskapet etter en dyktig disiplinleder og/eller senior skipsingeniør innen struktur og styrkeberegning. Den rette kandidaten vil være med å styrke teamet og bli en viktig ressurs i pågående og nye skipsdesignprosjekter. Har du lidenskap for skip og er en erfaren strukturingeniør, samt ønsker å jobbe i et selskap i god utvikling, er du kanskje vår nye fagansvarlige for strukturavdelingen?

Som Head of Structure vil du ha det overordnede faglige ansvaret for strukturdisiplinen. Du vil ha en viktig rolle i alle faser av et prosjekt – fra prosjektutvikling til prosjektgjennomføring.  I tett samarbeid med prosjektlederne og strukturteamet vil du definere arbeidsomfang for modifikasjons- og nybyggsprosjekter. Du vil ha utstrakt kontakt med rederi, verft, klasse og leverandører. Du vil også være en pådriver for å optimalisere og videreutvikle beste praksis for strukturdesign.

Arbeidsoppgaver

• Koordinere faglige ressurser innen strukturdisiplinen
• Vedlikeholde og utvikle beste praksis sammen med strukturteamet
• Bygge strategisk nettverk og delta i møter med kunder og andre
• Delta i utvikling av nye design for å sikre gode og kostnadseffektive løsninger
• Definere arbeidsomfang og kostnadsestimere jobber
• Støtte designere med råd og veiledning, samt ta nødvendige faglige avgjørelser
• Kvalitetsikre leveranser sammen med prosjektledere

Kvalifikasjoner

• Sivilingeniører/ingeniører fra skipsteknikk, konstruksjonsteknikk eller tilsvarende
• Erfaring med styrkeberegninger og strukturtegninger for skip
• God erfaring med beregningsprogrammer og metodikk for strukturdesign
• God erfaring med klasseregler og skipsbyggingsstandarder

Utdanningsnivå

• Høyskole/universitet

• Du behersker norsk og engelsk godt skriftlig og muntlig
• God evne til å jobbe selvstendig og i team

Breeze Ship Design is an independent ship design company with approximately 60 employees at our offices in Stord, Oslo, and Varna, Bulgaria. The company works with innovative and sustainable ship design solutions from concept to execution.

Do you find initial and basic design stages fascinating, or are you tired of working on detail design projects and willing to have greater influence on the projects you work on by taking actual calculation-based engineering decisions? Do you want to be an integral part of a great team of dedicated professionals? Then, we would like to hear from you! We are expanding our team and are looking for a like-minded ship structural engineer, willing to grow up with us and be part of our future.

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Participate in various new-build and conversion/ retrofit projects.
• Converting 2D drawings into 3D models and vice versa
• Assist and perform strength calculations
• Assist in the structural integration of various equipment
• Perform weight and center of gravity calculations, including Light Ship calculations
• Apply Class rules and regulations, as well as rules and regulations from international authorities
• Prepare Class structural drawings
• Read, interpret and apply customer specifications and requirements

Qualifications

• BSc. or higher in Naval Architecture or similar;
• +3 years’ experience within the Shipbuilding industry is a must.
• Knowledge In 2D and 3D CAD/CAM software (AutoCAD is a must and Rhino3D is an advantage)
• Excellent MS Office skills
• Knowledge of relevant requirements of classification societies and authorities.
• Excellent command of English, both spoken and written.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Being energetic, social, proactive and inspired by a constantly developing market
